The other guys
Reflects on-the-job data clean-up exercises.
One-off, isolated examples with zero explanation of how to apply formulas and functions on the job.
Detailed, animated Excel function walkthroughs.
Text-heavy slides that lead to confusion.
Focused content that you’ll regularly use on the job.
Laundry list of functions without clarity on what is most or least important.
Do I need a PC for this course?
This course is built for PC users because all Finance firms use PCs on the job. We do not recommend working through this course using the native Excel for Mac. With that said, if you have a Mac, you can use a program like Parallels, which allow you to emulate Windows on your Mac so you can learn the keyboard shortcuts that you will use on the job.
Is prior experience required?
This course assumes that you have a basic understanding of Excel. In other words, you know how to open Excel as well as the basics of navigating the ribbon and entering formulas. Beyond that, no prior knowledge is needed.
Will I learn keyboard shortcuts?
Absolutely! If you’re aiming for Investment Banking, Private Equity or Investment Management, you absolutely need to master Excel keyboard shortuts. In this course we teach you all of the most common shortcuts as well as a few tricks that many people in Finance aren’t even aware of.
